The facility is operated by the Mexican division of Ikano Industry and represents the second joint project between the long-standing partners.<\/p>\n<p>The plant is designed to recycle post-industrial PU foam waste and convert it into high-quality recovered polyol, which can replace up to 50% of virgin polyol in the production of mattress foam, without compromising product quality. In some applications, such as upholstered furniture, even higher replacement rates are possible.<\/p>\n<p>This latest project follows the successful implementation of similar circular economy initiatives in Europe, including the RENUVA<sup>TM<\/sup> plant in France and the Retour Matras plant in the Netherlands, both launched between 2022 and 2024, both dedicated to recycling end-of-life mattresses.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;This plant demonstrates our commitment to global sustainability and innovation in polyurethane recycling,&#8221;<\/i> said Mila Skokova, Deputy Managing Director Sales at H&amp;S Anlagentechnik. <i>&#8220;Our collaboration with Ikano Industry continues to be a strong and visionary partnership that enables scalable circular solutions across continents.&#8221;<\/i><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;We are proud to expand our sustainability efforts to Latin America,&#8221;<\/i> said Daniel Romecki, Director of the R&amp;D Department Poland and Mexico at Ikano Industry. <i>&#8220;Together with H&amp;S, we are taking another major step in reducing waste and closing the loop in PU foam production.&#8221;<\/i><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>The launch of the new plant reinforces the importance of international cooperation and long-term industrial partnerships in driving innovation in circular economy technologies.
